Alexander Haselow: Kurzvorstellung/Short Bio

Univ.-Prof. Dr. Alexander Haselow ist seit 2022 Professor und Lehrstuhlinhaber für das Fachgebiet „Sprachwissenschaft des Englischen" an der Bergischen Universität Wuppertal. Er wurde an der Universität Hamburg promoviert (Dr. phil.) und habilitierte an der Universität Rostock (Dr. phil. habil.). Wissenschaftlich liegen seine Schwerpunkte im Bereich Sprache und Interaktion (Konversationsanalyse, Interaktionale Linguistik, Gesprochene-Sprache-Forschung) sowie in der angewandten Sprachwissenschaft, v.a. auf dem Gebiet Sprache, Gedächtnis und (Neuro-)Kognition sowie kognitiver Prozesse im Fremdsprachenerwerb. Zudem forscht er im Bereich der Historischen Sprachwissenschaft, insbesondere zu Wandelprozessen im sozialen Sprachverhalten in westeuropäischen Gesellschaften.
